Check the website of your state's Department of Transportation. My state provides maps that list traffic counts next to roads.

Depending on the size of the city, you may be able to get the info from City Hall. If they don't have it they can suggest where to get it. Talk with someone in the local planning problem. While state departments of transportation are often helpful they may not have counts for streets within the interior of a given city.
