How can I get stated in making bigger investments in Real Estate?

The easiest answer is to begin networking in the area that you are considering investing. Start talking with other investors, agents, management companies, CPA's who handle real estate clients, etc. This should open up many doors for investing. It may provide paths for partnerships that could put you in a position to invest in larger deals. Another route that you can go is to begin raising equity from family, friends, and others who may be looking to invest but don't have the desire to actively participate in managing the assets. Many investors have a lot of capital but do not have the time to search for and structure deals. If you can put deals together and bring the investors in as your partner you can get into much larger deals. Having a good track record with other real estate deals will give you the credibility that you need to attract capital partners. Meet with CPA's, attorneys, financial managers to explain the deals that you are putting together and to source out investors. Make sure that you have an attorney prepare the proper paperwork for such deals and to protect you and your investors to make sure that they will be successful deals.

The simplest strategy is to determine what amount of capital you are working with, initially, and whether you are looking to leverage any funds. Secondly, you would want to follow up with someone that has a connection internally -- meaning, you are buying from a source. Finally, you want to market your properties to sell below retail for quick sales, or hold them for long term wealth building.
