when measuring commercial property, are is the footage of large display, bay windows included?

The property in question has 2-5x8 ft bay windows that are usable space for merchandising. Should I include this square footage in determining size of property?

Check with your local tax assessment office. If they include the square footage in their records, then so should you.

Retail is leased by outside demension if stand-along box or if inside a mall, usually retail useable inside demensions are used. Every landlord has their own way of measuring. also a good think to take your own outside and inside demensions and compare to what landlord is saying they are charging for rent.
