There is no "normal" fee paid to a leasing agent. All fees are negotiable and could range from 6% or lower and will be based on what experience and demonstrated ability you have to get the property leased. Landlord will be looking for the highest credit tenants you can deliver in the shortest time possible. That minimizes his cash lost during vacancy.

My Understanding is commission on the home is determine by the cost of the property. The range is normally 6%. If the buyer has an agent than the commission would be split between the seller's agent and the buyer's agent .
