Go to your State's Department of Real Estate website for the basic information. Call a real estate school to get you set up with the basic classes. Get in touch with a real estate broker whom you would like to work for and take an unpaid internship while you study for your license. After you set up an appointment with that broker prepare your resume, include your education sales experience and include other experience that show how you are a problem solver and deal closer.

Prabhakar, you should also be aware that it is not a Realtors' license. Realtors are a separate Association membership over and above your Real Estate Sales licence and just because you have a sales license does not make you a Realtor. It is a privilege not a right to be a Realtor. Please be very careful to not represent yourself as a Realtor before you are one. Many Realtors jealously guard the right to advertise and say that they are a Realtor. Saying you are before you are can get you in some "hot water". See below reference web site to the National Association of Realtors. Good luck on your sales licence. Ian Johnson, GRI,TRC.
