Depends on the credit of the tenant, in our market we usually see Landlords asking for at least a deposit equal to one months rent.
In the smaller market here, landlords oftentimes do not perform credit checks. Many prefer first, last and security deposit upon lease execution, which is usually equal to one month's base rent.
