What is the take on downtown Ft. Lauderdale? Is there any stablization there? What are true lease rates?

Looking to see if there are any tenants doing some drastic downsizing - is Sun Sentinel blowing out?

I am not quite sure what the lease rates are, I will be happy to inquire and know that it would depend on the location that you want. Downtown I think is about $125.00 per square foot.
As for the business in Fort Lauderdale downtown area it is increasingly brisk. I think this is attributed to the expansion of Port Everglades and the addition of the 6,000 passenger Cruise ship. I think that in the near future the addition of the Sister ship will bring another growth spurt to the area and expansion of the Fort Lauderdale International Airport will be a must. Area businesses that cater to the cruise customer are reaping the rewards.
I am in the real estate investment business here in Florida and own a franchised hotel in the Midwest, my husband is a hotel consultant and real estate salesman.
