What is the best land use for my unimproved 24 acre (zoned RL5) desert property in Lucerne Valley?

What is the best land use for my unimproved 24 acre (zoned RL5) desert property in Lucerne Valley? There is paved road access to dirt roads that edge the property, high tension power lines across one edge and views for 50 miles. Its sits at the N. base of the San Bernardino range, so it has a higher elev. than valley floor. Local economy subject to Boom/Bust patterns. Four years ago, told to get it semi improved and sell to residential developer Open to short term commercial concepts and/or long range planning. Ideas welcome.

I would agree in general terms with the last answer. One important consideration for a solar project is whether the land faces to the north or south. If it faces south with paved access to the land and powerlines then there is a good chance that the property would be viable as a small solar project.
