Ruth,
Great question. The prevailing rates in Walnut Creek range from 5%-7% and often depend on several factors:
1. How much advertising the listing agent will perfom
2. What level of service the listing agent will perform
3. What the listing agent is offering to the selling agent in the form of shared commission.
I work for RE/MAX Commercial here in our area. I would be happy to take a look at the property and let you know my thoughts. You can reach me at 707-254-9999

Who cares, pay as much as they want because vacant land is hard to move. Sell now before it gets worse.

Let me know location, size of the lot, and current zoning. I may buy it from you.

I specialize in selling land in southern California (but not Walnut Creek) and my commission is 10%. I thought you might be interested in what a land specialist charges.

It all depends but I'd pay whatever the best and most qualified agent is charging. Land is very difficult to move these days.
