We are looking to expand our PM business into the Atlanta Ga market. Any ideas on how to obtain new business?

We currently manage single family homes up to 224 unit complexes with experience managing complexes up to 642 units. We would like to market to existing properties in the Atlanta GA market but do not know where to start. Any suggestions? any trade magazines or common advertising areas or even a contact name to start? Thanks

Hi,
I manage 10 retail centers and office buildings in Atlanta. Perhaps network/link with a complimentary/non-competitive (retail or office) commercial manager to trade leads with.
What's your competitive edge over others? Why should we choose you over other firms? You need a brief, concise pitch for landlords. Also, banks are increasingly becoming landlords these days. Obviously wuith REOs, the former managers failed, so banks tend to replace the management ater they foreclose. Call on the REO departments of local and regional banks.
Write an article that helps Landlords in some way for Commercial Property News or the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Craigslist always has ads looking for residental managers for big complexes.
Speak to brokers who specialize in apartment listings.
Buy a database of apartment owners. You may have to buy a larger list of commercial owners and pick and choose the apartment owners out.
Best of luck to you. Call if you have further questions.
