Mortgage possible?

We are a english company and want to invest in Michigan. Several MultiFamily Houses (2-4 units) with tenants in place. Now our question: Can we take a mortgage in USA as foreign company or is it better to use a new company in Michigan to start?

Not sure what your foreign status does but you might think about becoming a "local" by putting money in a bank if it is a problem.

Yes. Buy a Shelf Company that has non-signatory credit lines attached and you can establish your self in the U.S. this way. I live/invest in Michigan doing different types of commercial investing. I use this same method since it is the best way to get financing now. No approvals needed for each deal and cash is instant.
