Looking for Opinions on the California Commercial Purchase Contract

Has anyone used the California Commercial Purchase Contract (the one you get from CAR) recently? And if so what are your opinions of it?

I have used this document several times and have not had any problems at all. Make sure you are using the 2011 version. Some agents get attached to a certain out dated version. Once you do that you don't have the same protections in the event of a law suit.

I have used the CAR Form Purchase and Sale Agreement often and I must say that it generally does a decent job of protecting Buyers, however it may not the contract template of choice depending on the purchase price, asset size, level of sophistication of the Seller, amongst many other variables. I would recommend that you consult with an attorney before entering into any formal contractual agreement and that you understand the clauses of the agreement (CAR Form or otherwise). Best of luck.
