It is about 5 millions building for sell, and it is off market, Can I get commission from both side.

As it is small building for sell, asking price is 5 millions, and it is off market right now, if seller agreed to pay 2% to me if I bring buyer and made the deal. Can I also ask buyer to pay me another 2% if we made the deal, thanks!

Lily....You are always full of interesting questions. Yes, I believe you can get a commission from both sides as long as there is no restrictive clause in your agreement. Commissions are always negotiable. If it were up to me, I would fully disclose the commissions to both parties, as it turns out your will be representing both parties. A 4% commission on a $5 M building is not necessarily excessive. To play on words, "Commissions are all in the pocketbook of those that pay". Good luck Lily....
