Call the State Hwy Department
http://www.dot.state.tx.us/apps/statewide_mapping/StatewidePlanningMap.html - Click on "AADT 2008" on the left side, then zoom in on your area. We have also used Traffic Data of Texas, Inc. here in Denton to get specific counts - firstname.lastname@example.org
If all else fails, find a billboard structure near the area and call the company that owns it and ask for the traffic counts. They have that kind of data readily available.
Call TXDot or go by Austin location (on Riverside Drive) and can buy a CD Rom for about $12 which has entire state of TX maps with traffic counts.
